Pros

Get Employees, very friendly, would rather learn from them.

Cons

Management should be re-trained in how to treat employees. Will lie to your face. they do it really well.

Pros

The coworkers are good people, however there are some workers watching other workers and giving reports apparently. Hours can be flexible.

Cons

Constant turnover of staff, maybe 50% turnover. A temp service has been put into use because of lack of employees, they are there a day or two ,then there is new temps. Many rules: only clear plastic bottles can be used and only water can be in them. No music is allowed at all: no mp3,phone or anything. SDA donation area is very busy and understaffed. I was given a pre evaluation for my 3 month and told I had 2-3 weeks to improve(be more organized) and 2 hours later told I was"suspended indefinitely and my manager said I would not be recommended to be rehired. What happened to the 2-3 weeks?? I am a mature worker ( 55 plus) with a good work ethic and I have never been late. The lunch room has a TV in it that has been broken for 2 years? The price of refreshments is full retail? Where does this profit go? I would not recommend this place to anyone. As well there is no training options to raise your rate of pay.

Pros

You have an opportunity to help others change their lives. Personally, I have grown. I now have the ability to work in an extremely hostile work environment, yet was still able to survive and thrive!

Cons

Promotions are subjective - who like you? If you cannot work in an environment with fulltime employees working an average of 12-15 hours per week max, but those same employees are promoted and given professional training, then Goodwill is not the place for you!
