Pros

I'm my program, all of the managers were fabulous. The discount at the stores was nice, too. They do offer education benefits as well.

Cons

Some challenging clients, but more so challenging co-workers (not all of course, but some more team-oriented than others). Staff to client ratio was often unbalanced leaving some staff burnt out. Disconnect from the far upper management that makes decision for the programs.

Pros

It's a great non-profit. The work is not too difficult. Some stores are small so it's more of a close-knit community where everyone knows each other and gets along very well. The store really does its very best to make items more affordable to the financially challenged. Managers are very understanding of workers' needs and the hours are very flexible even when working full time.

Cons

Employees tend to get too personal and friendly with each other at times, due in part to the large amount of young employees, leading to conflicts of interest at. The store does almost nothing to deter customers from trying to steal items and expects non-trained employees to handle matters of loss and prevention at times. It can make a work day very uncomfortable at times. Pay is just ok.

Pros

Great place to gain work experience. They really have open opportunity's, If you do not have work experience, if your someone who is working with a visa or looking to obtain a visa, if your someone who has a troubled past. Goodwill is about second chances. They really will have a position for you and try to fit you in as best as possible. For that this is a great company. great benefits great people to work with.

Cons

Now if your someone with experience, someone who has years of training. This is hard to recommend. With company politics, low wages, very few raise opportunities and position/title constantly being changed its hard to recommend to someone who expecting to be set in a job position for at least 5 plus years. If your someone who is looking for a true modern corporate life style this is not the place.
