Pros

Nothing. No benefits if part time

Cons

Okay.. as an employee... everything when I️ first started there was good. Never had had a job.. because I️ was young. The management is so flip flop and wish washy.. they will have you thinking they are for you when really they are working against you. They part time employees. I️ was apart of that team, did more work than the full time employees. They people who really busted their butts to do work never got credited for it. Was trained on the back but they threw me on the front with only 1 day of training. Their assistant managers completely over step their boundaries and get all in your space. Also this is a rip off company. Albany has experienced a big storm in the early part of 2017. People were donating to goodwill thinking that they are donating to families and giving them away. NO WAY!! Everything that was given to goodwill for free for the families who lost everything.... it was sold inside the store for various prices. Nothing was ever gave away from the store!! Disgusting. That’s why good will in Albany Ga would never get a donation from me ever. They do not help the homeless at all. Homeless come inside the store all the time and are asked to leave. Straight sad and disgusting.

Dysfunction at its best (West Palm Beach based Goodwill)

Pros

The agency does good work for the community in many areas.

Cons

Incompetent and dysfunctional leadership, resistant to change. Us vs them mentality between departments, with lots of backstabbing, finger pointing and gossiping. Unfair & inconsistent work/life balance practices across the agency. If you work for a good supervisor, you may be able to work from home or have flexible hours. If you work for a different supervisor, you may have no flexibility. Favorites are played and HR turns their heads. Good ideas from employees with years of experience in their field are bulldozed over by incompetent leaders who are insecure. If your department loses people who are not replaced, you are expected to pick up the slack and to handle the impossible workload the same as if you were only doing your original job; and it's thankless. Pay is way below average, even for a nonprofit. If you like to work around incompetent, backstabbing people in an organization with inconsistent policies, low employee morale, high turnover, and clueless leadership, this is the place for you. If you know you deserve better, run!

Pros

The people that work there and the customers

Cons

Hard work always push to do more more more. And the $25 gift card at Thanksgiving should not be taken out of our check we should not be charged for a gift
