This is not a commission based employer yet they run their business as such. If my employees are expected to drive sales and meet their targets, they need to be compensated appropriately for their work. As a manager with several years of experience prior to coming to Francesca's, I know this is frustrating for staff and managers. I understand that this is all communicated by upper management and not a reflection of my direct supervisors. However, it is difficult to motivate a team of part time employees who are not truly invested in the company or their position to uphold the same value of customer service that I do. My personal experience with Francesca's was that I was treated poorly by my supervisor. I had 5+ years of experience managing a high-volume retail store but I was not give the autonomy to complete tasks or make decisions on my own. This was very difficult for me to handle as an individual, and ultimately resulted in my leaving the company.
