Pros

The product is great, speaks for itself.

Cons

- Toxic corporate environment. - Terrible work/life balance. You are incentivized to work through holidays and weekends. It also felt quite often like employees were discouraged from using their PTO throughout the year, not just on blackout dates. Besides, having any blackout dates on the calendar in the first place is ridiculous. Don’t fall for the ‘unlimited’ time off they pitch you on, it’s the furthest thing from it. - Unethical business practices. Sales team is so hyper-focused on getting the deal no matter the cost. Working with frustrated & angry clients became a regular occurrence.

Thank you for your feedback. Over the past two years, we have made a concerted effort to improve our employees’ work/life balance. With employees across the globe from the West Coast of the U.S. to India, managing time zones can get complicated. However, we’re rolling out manager training that covers topics like helping your team members manage workload and effective resource allocation. For the Sales team in particular, we’ve instituted end of quarter no-internal-meetings week to help our employees balance their work load. We recently announced that we’ll be instituting two 2.5-hour no-meetings blocks per week company wide. Thanks again for your feedback, and we wish you all the best! – Chad Herring, ZoomInfo Chief HR Officer

Pros

Work from home. Very good platform.

Cons

The company primarily fills AE roles by promoting SDR's. This in itself is not a bad thing. However, it does create a culture that has a hard time training and developing sales pro's hired from outside the organization. If your from withing the organization you will do fine. If you're from outside the organizaton you're on your own. Be prepared for rap music and F bombs during sales meeting. Sales leadership are a collection of true "used car" salesmen and love to hear themselves talk. Leadership speaks poorly about prospects and customers like they are ingorant tools or a means to an end. Lastly, it is money over people ALL THE TIME. Doesn't matter if it's the client or the employee. It's a "get as much as you can" sales culture. One company may get the exact same level of platform for 15k more! All in all, unless your from the Vancouver, WA area and start off as an SDR with people you know from the area, I would suggest looking somewhere else. If you an experienced Sales Pro, don't even waste your time.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience as an Account Executive with ZoomInfo. We’re very proud of how often we are able to promote SDRs to AEs, and we always say that joining ZoomInfo as an SDR is the best possible starting block for a career in SaaS sales. In the past 18 months, 60%+ of our Account Executive hires have come from outside the organization as we’ve looked to bring the best talent to our growing team. During that time, our Learning & Development, Sales Enablement, and Sales Leadership teams have revamped our onboarding process with a specific focus to understand the needs of external hires vs. internal hires. While I think our latest onboarding programs are best in class, we are always working to improve our training materials as we look to get 1% better each day. We are always open to feedback, and if you have ideas on how we can fine-tune some of our training to our sales folks who don’t start as SDRs, please do get in touch with the Enablement team. We want to make sure we keep attracting the best and brightest, no matter where they got their start. I’m sorry you feel some friction with the personalities of the Sales leadership team. We are all incredibly passionate about our work, and I wouldn’t say we are a shy or quiet bunch. But, I do want to stress that we hold our customers in very high regard and customer service a huge priority. In fact, I believe our superior customer experience is one of the key reasons ZoomInfo has been so successful. Another is that we put people first, and that goes for both customers and employees. We set a high bar for our personal and team performance, but we win as a team and support each other 100%. If this isn’t your current experience, please reach out to me so we can find a way to make it right. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts, and don’t hesitate to reach out to me or your manager with any additional feedback to help us be better. – Steven Bryerton, ZoomInfo SVP of New Sales

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy to hear you found our training programs and experiences valuable. At Zoominfo, we know we are nothing without our people. We offer unlimited PTO so our hard-working employees can take the time they need to reset and recharge. We are working to consider employee feedback and use it to improve existing structures and put new processes in place (a great example of this is our new employee recognition platform) to ensure every employee at Zoominfo feels heard, valued, and able to enjoy their time both in and out of the workplace. If you have any additional feedback, please reach out to hrfeedback@zoominfo.com. -The ZoomInfo Employee Experience Team
