Pros

Meeting new people that can potentially be friends with you in the long run.

Cons

This company does NOT care about anyone who works there. They will constantly remind you that you can be replaced. They lie about promised pay increase if you learn a lead position. They work you miserable hours but complain when you ask for a cab home after delayed flights. They require you to be in full uniforms but are fully aware that uniforms do not come on time so YOU are expected to buy it as a substitute. I worked here for almost 2 years with no annual review or pay raise as promised. MANY people before me left due to management, no pay raises, supervisors, childish staff, high school mentality. Management is HORRIBLE! I have watched 2 Account mangers come and go! As well as 2 supervisors. Andrew does not respond to issues within the company. Karl King is Rude, selfish, shows, EXTREME levels of Favoritism, disorganized, and unfair. The staff is looked upon as slaves and used until they breakdown and choose to quit. I am never one to complain about a company but I WOULD NEVER ALLOW ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY TO WORK HERE.

Pros

Insurance benefits, half of the work isn't even that hard (this is pertaining to not actually working in the cargo facility but rather the QPK office), easy to obtain overtime, getting to see some interesting animals if you're working at the PetSafe location. Also some of the regular customers are awesome and appreciate your hard work (some even bring coffee and doughnuts, etc.).

Cons

Cons! Ha! I feel like some of the people there ARE cons! There is a ton of favoritism. Your hard work is almost never appreciated. Some supervisors there are quick to belittle you but if you point out their flaws in their work they get highly defensive. It's a very unprofessional place with almost all the of agents, including supervisors, posting things on Snapchat from work, making us all look unprofessional. Almost every agent, some supervisors included, talk about their sex lives in detail. Most agents do not stay at their positions which makes other agents that want to work do twice as much work. Their fellow colleague is in the restroom, in the break-room, outside smoking, or just at a different post chit-chatting with another agent. Promotions are almost always within the office; they don't even bother posting if there's a lead or supervisor position available, they just promote someone without an interview. Human Resources seem to always cycle through their department in terms of staff almost as much as the agents. We must have went through several payroll managers within one year. This is why agents are almost always missing part of their paycheck. The whole human resources department is unprofessional--even they are having conversations with some agents that are deemed inappropriate! You are promised benefits with SW Airlines but that NEVER happens; I feel like that's some mess that they tell people to get them to stay working there. The people in the cargo facility get a half hour break plus two fifteen minute breaks but the people in the QPK facility just get one un-paid half-hour break. The hiring process is awful! They seem to just hire anyone that can obtain a badge. Heh, and they wonder why the agents are constantly "twerking" at work and recording it to be posted online, as well as Facetiming their friends throughout the shift, even in front of customers. People sleep on the job constantly. Swissport employees are often treated unfairly by the airline that they're working for **cough-cough United cough**. The pay should be more for what the job actually entails. Many supervisors don't even bother helping out when it's really busy and will just sit at their desk the whole time gossiping but yet they tell us that that wasn't the place for gossip. No $1000 incentive to the employees that were working there before that incentive even began. Some supervisors are quick to humiliate an agent that made an error instead of pulling them to the side and bringing the error to their attention in that manner. Only one shift is provided food by the company during the holidays. It often seems like one shift is entirely against the agents of a different shift causing a lot of conflict and no one wants to operate the facility as one big team. It's always "oh, the agents on PM are stupid and lazy", "nighthawk agents do absolutely nothing", or "AM agents don't know what a real work load is". I recall some people getting yelled at for bringing their children to work but yet supervisors do it too, as well as "favorite" agents, and they don't get penalized for it. Some of the worst performing/uprofessional agents don't even get in trouble by their own supervisor because that's "their people" but get really upset if another lead or supervisor on a different shift writes them up. The place is always either very under staffed or very over staffed. There are agents that accumulated over twelve points and instead of being terminated they are still working there while their points are reaching well into the twenties and thirties because those agents are favorites. Oh yeah, did I mention that most of the time your hard work is never appreciated? I guess I did. That they only promote people based on seniority and not if they're entirely fit for the job? Well, no one is perfect, as every agent has their flaws, including leads, supervisors, as well as duty managers, but I've seen agents get promoted that had no business being in that higher position whatsoever. Nobody's perfect, but come on... That company just gets worse and worse. I can mention more but I think I've said enough.

Pros

Made some great friends along the way and had some unforgettable moments on shift with them, great to work along side various airlines gaining a great understanding of customer service

Cons

Order a new uniform? Get it around 6 months after ordering it. Be expected to work all the hours god sends and then have management drag you in for a disciplinary. Want to be paid well? No chance, you have so many big responsibilities dealing with visas etc and have minimal training, left to sign a check list so if god forbid you make a mistake it's down on a piece of paper in black and white so you get in trouble. Pay is always wrong even after emailing your shifts over to payroll every week, you have to psychically fight to be paid the money you should be. Worst company I've possibly ever worked for, you are not looked after in the slightest, just treated as a number. Team operation manager are more interested in keeping the airlines happy than keeping their own staff happy. People who threaten to leave or threaten the company get put in higher positions rather than honest hardworking members of staff, people can write about the company all over Facebook and also get put in a senior position, which gives all other staff the same kind of "I can do what I want because I won't ever get sacked" kind of attitude. All in all extremely unprofessional and one to dodge when looking for a job in aviation. Thank-you Manchester for never looking after your employees
