Pros

Working with some good people

Cons

Terrible rosters. Incompetent rude managers and supervisors. everything done on the cheap. No reward for good work done. Ignore the facts why so many people leave. If they can get away without paying you they will do it. No canteen or somewhere to make your own tea/coffee. Click management. No Christmas Bonus/ party or anything like that Cut hours and make people do crazy shifts.

Pros

Meeting new people and making friends. Good working patterns the longer your there and find more products to work on. Home time .

Cons

Trying to push people out the door. Lack of empathy for any situation. Management are nowhere to be seen and don’t care about the staff. You only move up the rank of your family or best friends with management. You get treated like a child. Expected to stay over and help with disruption. Only certain supervisors are treated with respect. Never have performance reviews. Money is horrendous for the responsibility we have. No care for our health. If someone is off work and you work on a 2 man job they will not replace the 2nd person. Very catty environment.

Pros

The job itself was excellent. I loved it. I loved the fast pace, meeting new people everyday and busy airport environment. It was a real buzz to be so busy and doing new things all the time.

Cons

The culture was very "them vs us". Nepotism was rife. If you were in the younger "in" crowd and wiling to let the supervisors and DMs walk over you, it was fine. But if you spoke up for yourself, you were branded a troublemaker. You got stuck with the worst duties like yellow tagging or crossing passengers in the rain while the rest of your colleagues stood there chatting and looking on. You only stood a chance of getting on the BA counter if you were "friends" with one of the DMs. Some supervisors were jumped-up, power-hungry control freaks who enjoyed treating people like something on the bottom of their cheap shoes. It's a shame that the management seem to actively drive away good staff who actually enjoyed their jobs.
