Pros

Good benefits, dental and medical You can don’t do work and still earn money if you are liked by management

Cons

You can tell alot of ppl don’t like each other but just come in to work and tolerate. So much tension! Always feel like no job security! Ppl only look after their friends. Managers will protect their friends even if they slack off all the time. Totally unflexible work environment. Must reach on time at 8:30 and cannot go before 6pm unless you are from the friends group. Management does not like ppl working from home becos they don’t believe ppl are really working. Ppl in Singapore and UK like to escalate the smallest matter. Ppl in Singapore office always criticising work from UK office.

Hi - I'm really concerned by the comments and allegations in your review. As the Global HR Director, I can tell you categorically that our business does not condone favoritism or bullying of any kind. I simply have seen no evidence of that since I joined Resource Solutions, and I've not met a team yet that simply tolerated each other - I genuinely believe the working culture we have is one of the best I've ever seen, so this is a real surprise and a concern. I take your allegations seriously and I will look into them. I've replied to previous reviews mentioning our working hours by promising that flexible working is my top priority, and I'll repeat that now - I want to ensure everyone is provided the flexibility to perform their best work, in an environment they feel comfortable in and enjoy coming to work in. If that's not the case now, I'd like to know why, and understand what we can do to make it better. Thanks, Kirsty Adams (Global HR Director, Resource Solutions)

Pros

No management skills/character/personality required to move up the ranks, you only need to make good $ for the company. Great place for narcissistic, toxic individuals (if you are one)

Cons

Great place for narcissistic, toxic individuals (if you are not one). Questionable bonus scheme. High turnover

I’m genuinely sorry to hear your thoughts as we’ve taken a lot of time to build a strong management team with an open culture over the past few years. I know we can’t please everyone with promotion choices but please be assured that every promotion is considered very carefully and it is something that matters an awful lot to me personally and the rest of the senior management team. Progression of our staff is incredibly important and is treated in that manner. We’re a sales business so a track record of strong financial performance is a key part of our promotion criteria but I don’t feel that’s at the expense of other attributes such as team work, character and attitude. For example, we really value team players who work to grow the people in their team as that’s how the business has grown over the last 32 years. With regards to our bonus scheme, we know that it doesn’t suit everyone as we offer a quarterly team-based bonus that relies on the team doing well. It’s not commission based but this helps foster our culture of team work and does encourage longevity in the business which is supported by a strong tenure of people in the office. If there’s anything I can do to address your concerns more specifically, please do reach out to me, in confidence: toby.fowlston@robertwalters.com I’d appreciate the opportunity to rectify any areas where we can do better and improve. - Toby Fowlston, Managing Director – South East Asia
