8yHi, and thanks for posting a review – although I’m really sorry to hear you had such a bad experience and that you feel hurt by it.
It’s always a difficult decision to let someone go but, ultimately, it will have been a business decision based on the facts at hand. Perhaps, however, we didn’t go about it in the best way possible.
Without knowing the specifics, I can only deal in generalities. We have a group-wide performance review policy that involves many stages before we would look to dismiss someone. These stages include extra support, training, defined objectives and clear warnings. However, stages can be omitted when performance concerns are of a serious enough nature, or if the employee is within a probationary period. As I say, perhaps we didn’t go about this in the most sensitive way possible, and maybe we can improve that process in future.
