Pros

1. I don't see any pros for this organization, as my previous organization was a product based one which had good quality work & culture. People who prefer laid back attitude & want to relax will love this company.

Cons

1. This is a Service Based company disguised as Product Based company. All the internal processes are a replica of a typical Indian Service Based company. 2. NO Work-From-Home !!! I personally feel its a very sick & lame regulation by the management. This should actually be highlighted in bold letters on the Appointment Letter. 3. Attendance is tracked to the finest details. You get a weekly report of the hours you logged in the company. Also, the information about the hours you were spent inside & outside the company will available. Its kind of creepy. 4. The single-sign-on username needs an alpha-numeric combination. More than the part that it is frustrating to input a number instead of my name, I think it is DEROGATORY to assign numbers to the employees and make them use the same to logon to access their emails & all other portals.

Pros

At this company, you’ll collaborate with an exceptional group of colleagues and supportive lower-level managers. The benefits package is outstanding, and the best part? You can work remotely from anywhere!

Cons

Upper level management/execs are not sure what to do with this company. Lumen has been trying to change to become profitable for more years then I can remember and always revert back to layoffs to improve the bottom line, layoffs are 2+ times a year every year with lots of mini layoffs throughout, this creates a bad culture when everyone is worried constantly that they will be laid off. Also due to layoffs you find that most people you work with have multiple roles, it's like they are doing 2-3 full time jobs, this leads to everyone being overwhelmed. Lumen, a company grappling with its direction, has witnessed a recurring cycle of profitability struggles. Over the years, they’ve attempted various strategies to turn the tide, but layoffs have consistently been their go-to solution for bolstering the bottom line. These layoffs occur multiple times a year, creating an unsettling atmosphere where employees live in perpetual fear of losing their jobs. Consequently, the workforce shoulders multiple responsibilities, often juggling the equivalent of 2-3 full-time roles, leading to widespread overwhelm and strain. The situation at Lumen reflects a challenging balance between financial stability and employee well-being.

Lumen is a scam

Pros

None, please don’t fall for the flashy sign on bonuses, they will get them back from you when you realize you’re in Dante’s 9th circle of hell.

Cons

They do not care that their company is a literal mess, everything internal is so disorganized, they allow their management to behave like middle school bullies complete with screaming and swearing at their sales team. The morale at this company is so low it feels like the titanic. This was my experience on the Desk Based Sales Team. Not to mention they will lie about your start/end dates to shake you down for every penny. They get college students who have just graduated by luring them in with a summer out in Colorado training and up to $10,000 in sign on bonuses, and then when you realize you’re in a living hell and get another job, they come after you for all that money and more (they add on taxes) if you leave within two years. And trust me, 9/10 of us leave within two years.
