Pros

You get benefits after 90 days

Cons

Training was not good and did not prepare you for the job; more than half of my training class quit! Trainer was not good and neither were there SME'S as they call them; the NOHD department was rude; the Help Desk was rude; my boss told me he could not help me with my job because he was not good at systems!

Pros

Great team and coworkers, opportunity to work in huge enterprise environments and gain valuable experiences that would be difficult to obtain in other organizations, some of the upper middle managers genuinely listen and and provide solid guidance personally and professionally.

Cons

They will lay you off with absolutely no warning, and the layoffs are almost constant, cut cut cut until its they're short staffed then they bring back some of the same people as contractors, but mostly just outsourcing to India, if you are in India you should demand higher pay, their business troubles are related to making massive investments for the future but their only solution to their financial woes is to layoff staff and outsource, really uncreative upper management, and they skip over some of the middle upper management who have been holding the company together, those who should be running the company are skipped over for executive positions in favor of Steve Jobs wannabes who organize ted talk style corporate kool aid drinking sessions that add nothing of value to the company.

Pros

CEO is smart but not without flaws

Cons

The red flags started as soon as I got here with my senior leaders jumping ship almost immediately after I started. There's a reason why there are so many openings and it's not because Lumen is growing. From terribly poor training to extremely outdated systems, Lumen is not where you'll grow your career or learn new things. They also hired several people who seemed super excited for their first step into telecom sales, and within months, I've seen their excitement turn into dismay and exits from the company. There's also talk of PIP'ing them out of the business which is absolute garbage when the fault lies with leadership for giving them no foundational training and not setting their organization up for success BEFORE they hired people. As a telecom veteran, this is an absolute trash move.
