Pros

meaningful work good benefits good people who generally really care for the folks they serve

Cons

Behind the times in a lot of ways. Doesn't believe in flex hours, working from home, job sharing. Doesn't take advantage of the passion employees have for what they do. Not open to looking at other options for different solutions.

Pros

Overpaid me. enjoyed working with peers my age. Interesting atmosphere to work in, lots of interesting donations. Fun interacting with customers.

Cons

I had quite a few lazy coworkers and managers. Responsible for compensating for their lack of effort. Most of the college kids could do a better job managing than the actual managers. Lots of drama between co-workers, people didn't get alon

Pros

decent pay, $1.50 above minimum wage.

Cons

HORRIBLE allergy breakouts. Skin rashes and puffy eyes/runny nose. If you are allergic to pet dander or must this is not the place for you. Very painful repetitive work. A lot of standing. Quotas to reach or you will be written up. Breaks are paid but you cant leave the building. You have to fend for yourself with everything. Get your own clothes. Tote your own clothes to the compactor. And fight with other employees for supplies like hangers and tagging guns which some people stash. Which makes it very hard to reach your quota in a realistic time frame. You have to have your bag checked EVERY TIME you leave the building. If no one responds to the page and comes to the front, you could have up to 10 minutes knocked off your lunch and nothing you can do about it.
