Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at good will are to, learn self control, practice patients, develop people skills and appreciate your days off.

Cons

Goodwill is designed to break a person down, not build them up. It is the most humiliating job I have ever had, rules and regulations are not enforced, everyone eventually is going to be abused in one form or another, if not from management from coworkers. Scare tactics are used to threaten your job. Backstabbing and rumors run ramped among coworkers.

Pros

Goodwill does seem to care about helping some employees with time management. Their philosiphy of family first still rings true for the most part with some managers.

Cons

Goodwill has gotten away from the "helping people find jobs" campaign that they advertise. They have not done this for several years now. They run charter schools and all of their money goes to them. We used to be a proud organization 8 years ago, when we actually saw results in the community. Now we are simply a day care for students other schools do not want.
