Pros

Met a lot of interesting people along the way, found a lot of interesting items through our donations. You never knew what you where going to come across each day. A WW2 Gun, a grenade, katana swords, classic rock albums, designer clothing, purses, a rabits head, a bottle of liquor with a king cobra snake inside just to name a few.

Cons

Some donors donate junk and you will come across the occasional crazy customer every now and then.

Love the mission, hate the politics

Pros

My work is rewarding, and that's what keeps me going. I love feeling like I make a difference. I also have a lot of flexibility in my schedule, which is great.

Cons

The pay isn't great, which doesn't make employees feel valued. There are a lot of new programs that pop up all the time, but budgets are constantly being scrutinized, which is frustrating. Upper management is very uninvolved in the mission of the organization.
