Pros

Close knit, family atmosphere that allows employees a lot of flexibility. Big boost lately in giving employees recognition with "Employee of the Month & Quarter" awards. Great place to start a career and leverage the market research brand to get in front of big customers.

Cons

Employee morale seems to be low due to the extremely high turnover rate. The company is very siloed which complicates communication and makes it difficult to collaborate with others to bring in business. Comp plan can be very difficult to understand. The website is intentionally confusing and doesn't send a clear message of what Frost & Sullivan actually does. Company's vision is to be a "Growth Consulting" firm but clients view the brand as a market research firm due to the 40+ years of publishing market research. Senior Management has good intentions but middle management lacks in competence and true leadership qualities.

Pros

Working at Frost gives one the ability to quickly see what works and doesnt work in terms of management/team work style. Provides a good reference point for one's abilities. It is possible to gain ownership of significant pieces of work if you are aggressive enough

Cons

no coherent strategy. Company operations have too much of a short term focus (focus on month end deals). Infrastructure and compensation were poor which resulted in the exodus of talent (once they had enough projects under their belt). Company also focussed too much on recruiting cheap resources without taking a view to how they could develop. Too much focus on awards and not a strong enough view to developing consulting talent. there was a lot of confusion regarding roles & responsibilities

Pros

Frost offers a lot of freedom and work-life balance. Specific consulting studies are interesting for starting a new career in consulting. If you are trying for a career change from Mundane IT, then Frost can offer some relaxed working style with better projects. With respect to the career opportunities within and outside of the company, Frost offers one of the best platforms for young consultants to seek a better career in the future. Especially, market research and marketing roles outside the company become possible even after a short time in the company. The company also has quick and random promotion styles which help lucky ones to scale the ladder quickly.

Cons

Micromanagement and hidden management approaches offers no transparency in corporate strategies and methods. As an employer, Frost & Sullivan's pay package is extremely low when compared to the industry standard. In fact, there is a lot of disparity in the pay packages between several people who do the same job. The employee morale and attitude of senior management to analysts is in many ways very poor. Most new strategies are not communicated to the analysts well. Cross-team interaction is very low. Therefore, many many revenue share issues between complimentary teams for a single area of study. The recognition for oneself as an analyst from the industry is more than the recognition you get within the industry, which even downgrades morale.
