There are MANY cons to list, but what I will focus on is the lack of compassion and integrity. A team in one of the CT/NY/NJ tri state stores has recently lost a team member. A wonderful man who had been with the company for 27 yrs. Corporate did NOTHING to acknowledge his time with the company or his presence in the store. Management didn't bother to hold a moment of silence for him. We were told "that isn't the Crate way". Imagine giving a third of your life to a company and they don't even acknowledge your passing!! Crate embodies the warning that we've all seen "take your PTO because if you die your job will be posted the next day". I could NEVER recommend this company in any fashion. Don't work here or spend your money here.

Nice work environment. The supervisors are kind.

Cons

The directors and managers don't really listen to employee suggestions on improving certain things. They just follow orders from the top even if it's not the best thing they could do. What you would expect from corporates.
