      You get to work remotely

      Cons

      The company brags about winning one of the best places to work by glassdoor. But they don’t earn that from the actual employees. The win that from the agents who are in fact their customers. They would not win this award if they only counted actual employees. They do not care about their employees and have mass layoffs once a year for the past 4 years.

      Mass Terminations

      remote work, coworkers, flexible schedule

      Cons

      Mass terminations without warning. Told us that we can reapply rather than offer the position when once available. Global workers are replacing US based workers. I do not see anybody actually retiring from this company. No transparency which is suppose to be a core value. No matter how well your performance is, attendance and work ethic is, nobody is safe at this company,

      It all starts at the top.

      Pros

      The people and collaboration are phenomenal. You really feel as though you're part of a closely-knit team even with the remote environment. Everyone is hard-working but also very cognizant about the human element of running a business. It's not a surprise since the cultural values are well-defined and the staff live up to these values in spades not only in theory, but in practice. However.....

      Cons

      It all starts at the top and the replacement CIO's behavior has been borderline abusive. This is how good cultures are shifted to toxic ones. How a once amazing culture is moving in the completely wrong direction. The respect of work-life balance is eroding to appease his ego as he disrespects and berates his entire organization. He is a firm "my way or the highway" type of personality that directly contradicts the defined values of the company. I've gone from being happy to log in to work to completely dreading it due to the uncertainty of him potentially driving another short-sighted initiative down the pipe all while having no respect for people and their current workloads. How could leadership have allowed this to happen? The least that can be done is some damage control and accountability from leadership before people begin to leave in droves as there are MUCH better paying jobs out there.
