Work from home. Flexible schedule. Global travel. Talented and experienced team members. Ability to make connections to leaders around the world.

Cons

Leadership is only interested in delivering on member demands at the expense of management team growth. Long term strategy often changes based on various member-led committee demands. Staff often competes with each other to please the members they work with regardless of impact on short or long-term strategy.

Many of the members/clients are super! You can easily be inspired by the members' accomplishments.

Cons

There is a 24/7 communications expectation online and on your cell phone. I averaged 4 hours of sleep a night AND I KNOW I WAS NOT RARE among other management! Instead of living a service leadership mentality, they encourage a "serving" mentality - never felt more like a "lowly waitress" in my life - despite my masters degree and leadership at other organizations around the world.
