Pros

Location at the center of the city. Good team mates.

Cons

*Surprisingly bad management! Reason: Visma has bought by years several SME-companies in order to strengthen company's position to grow more recognizable SaaS - software supplier. The collision between different management styles and internal not-so-well-coordinated reporting requirements has caused futile bureaucracy with several administrative people who are in some cases astonishing incompetent at their tasks. * Career opportunities are somewhat blocked or reserved for the people inside a golden circle. * Salary and other compensations are not based on achieved results at first place - hypocrite behavior with "knife-in-fellow's-back" -practice is even encouraged by some managers. * Visma products do not represent the best-of-breed products , sorry to say. Reason: there are only few softwares which will have a nice share from R/D funds - the rest products are more or less cash cows with a vanishing programming technology.

Pros

Of course a couple of nice colleagues Nice balance work/family

Cons

1. Totally resultoriented. It is all about the money. Visma doesn't have a longterm view at all. The business decisions are all short term. 2. Hierarchy rules. Even the smallest decision - when it comes to money - has to be made on an enterprise level, i e in Norway... 3. Visma tends to say it is an open company in terms of that you could state your opinion and bring forward your ideas and thoughts. But no... if you do that consistently and it doesn't comply with Visma - you'll get fired... Or, it is the management-by-fear or (even worse) management- by -I don't care... 4. Customer focus - nonexisting.... I've never worked for a company with such a big lack of customer focus. Visma doesn't really care about the customer the only important matter regarding the customer is - MONEY. By doing this the customer loyalty goes down the drain...
