Pros

You get a paycheck. Huzzah.

Cons

Being forced to rent out roach infested apartments. Unprofessional management. Basically just a terrible experience. Lasted about 3 years of being transferred around with no notice or being asked for my consent to be transferred.

Unhealthy and toxic environment

Pros

A few perks in the break room if the vultures leave anything for the rest of the place, decent health benefits and vacation.

Cons

Avoid at all costs. This is the most unhealthy and toxic work environment I have ever experienced. Nepotism and favoritism run rampant. Most people are promoted on who they know, not what they know, or whose you know what is kissed. Hostile work environment, racism, harassment, bullying and inappropriate behavior are overlooked (seemingly encouraged) if you are "in" with the right people. The employess who deserve promotions and raises are spurned and ignored, or made to go through rigorous steps in order to advance their careers. The office gossip and slander is worse than a soap opera. Backstabbing seems to be de rigueur for this place. Culture and values are a joke. Bogus awards, all fixed by a "committee". If you don't drink the kool-aid or bleed green, you'll never get anywhere. Management have no desire to listen to anyone but themselves.

Thank you for your feedback. At Village Green, we strive to create a culture and environment that is open, fair, and inclusive to every associate. Hearing that your experience was anything less than that is truly disheartening. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind, and while we do encourage associates to connect and rely on each other, we do not and cannot support nepotism as it risks the company’s overall productivity and professional merit. We hope that you are willing to discuss your experiences further to help us identify possible areas of improvement. I am available at your convenience and can be reached by phone at 248-406-5131 or via email at bhale@villagegreen.com. We hope to hear from you soon. – Barbara Hale, Executive Vice President
