Pros

-Company culture used to be great -Lots of quality people still working there, although it seems they are constantly leaving for greener pastures. -Fun/exciting working in professional sports.

Cons

-Long Hours -Employees are paid WELL below their market value; a problem that is amplified by the high cost of living in Silicon Valley. -Poor upper management -The Sharks currently subscribe to a "churn-and-burn" strategy with their entry-level and mid-level employees. They will ride employees into the ground until they quit. They know that because they are the Sharks, someone else (a fresh college grad or otherwise) will always do the job for less money. -Company culture/morale is going down the toilet under current business-side management.

Pros

You're all in it together. Know you're not the only one dreading the organization.

Cons

The fish rots from the head down. Leadership is pathetic- act as a cult protecting their own despite the ones in charge not knowing a lick about the jobs of the ones they are managing. Several occasions were team members knew MORE than leadership. Dont question anything because you will be cut. Culture was supposed to change with several re-org attempts but the same people part of this disgusting culture are still making the decisions. Not to mention they keep you underground in a basement to work in. They should be ashamed referring to themselves as a "Professional Sports Organization" more like the circus in San Jose.

Pros

There are some great people in the organization: friendly, caring, and hard workers who truly aspire to create a positive culture throughout the organization. Upper management sometimes rewards its lower level employees with time-off or small benefits as a means of saying "thank you."

Cons

If you want to be overworked and paid at a below-market price, the SSE is the place for you! There's a general misunderstanding of the issues of the company, and they start at the top. Most of the VP's have earned their position by being at the company for over a decade (sometimes two decades), but they lack the education, knowledge of current trends, and creativity to push the organization to the next level. While they say they encourage creativity and growth at the lower levels, their actions speak say otherwise and it feels as though they stifle your ingenuity in fear that their position will be taken over.
