Pros

You get a ton of experience in so many areas that it's hard to list all of your duties on your resume. You also learn how to juggle dozens of projects while meeting hard deadlines. There are (well, were) tons of super talented employees. There is a certain amount of glamor in working for a hockey team.

Cons

Work/life balance is non-existent. There is constant employee turnover, meaning that you're always going to be understaffed. Everyone is burned out and panic attacks are pretty regular things for employees. Leadership is incompetent. If you work for the Barracuda, sorry, you might as well not exist. If you're salaried you get unlimited vacation time but aren't allowed to use it, so just ignore that "benefit" completely. If you're a woman, be prepared to deal with rampant sexism and a glass ceiling (you could count the number of women in management positions on one hand). Also be prepared to live with roommates since they're not going to pay you close to market rate!

Pros

The manager of the street team is great. He communicates well what needs to be done, and is almost always present to help out before events begin. He's friendly and makes sure his employees are taken care of.

Cons

There are only a few employees on the team that actually do a good job and do what needs to be done. The rest are usually young college students who have only one or two jobs under their belt. The organization itself is awful and poorly managed. There is no way to move up in the company and they care more about money than their employees.

Pros

Fast paced Free tickets to terrible games

Cons

Management is under qualified or incompetent of making decisions. Pay is below average. Work overtime for no additional pay. HR doesn't care about you. Department clicks. Get what they want and dispose of you.
