Pros

They do a great job of making it seem as if this company is amazing.Discounted food and drinks when management feels like it.

Cons

The idea behind this company is inspiring. Integrating adults with disabilities into the community is such important work. However, the execution of their ideas and the treatment of their employees is nothing short of awful. They are driving their most valuable employees out because they are so overworked and mistreated. To top that off, every time someone quits, managements spreads lies that they fired them. The restaurant portion of this company is equally as awful, and is so desperate for staff (because so many quit), that they are hiring everyone who walks in the door - management has even told their team this. This is not a way to make existing employees feel as if they have any value. Training for this company is virtually nonexistent because they are so desperate for employees. Beware of the positive reviews. The executive director essentially forced their staff to write positive reviews here and on other websites, despite this being completely illegal.

https://medium.com/@carmen_54542/the-disgruntled-former-employee-and-the-oz-complex-of-online-bullying-e8501c6e2dfc#.dj6fvswra Here is the thing "former HR professional" - You were only employed here less than three months and during that time frame you 1) refused to attend company-wide trainings 2) made multiple errors in benefits administration and then became argumentative when asked to correct them and 3) complained to employees about how you didn't like your job. You were a dysfunctional part of the team and were subsequently written up with a corrective action plan. You chose not to comply with the corrective plan by refusing to attend the trainings and so you were terminated. It is pretty easy to keep your job around here if you have a good attitude and strive to do good work. We want good people at the company and are simply unwilling to tolerate those that run interference on the good work that everyone else is doing. Fact Check: Our turnover is less than half of what our industry average is and that is WITH the company choosing to terminate people that are dysfunctional parts of the team.

Pros

Good work experience, some great coworkers in direct care, higher pay than average for direct care (though other companies are following suit)

Cons

No sick time, only 4 holidays a year (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas), no personal time, unreasonably high expectations--such as keeping up with group text all hours of the day, not knowing schedule more than a day in advance many weeks, clients are often bored because of a lack of work in supported employment, tons of driving/miles on car, required weekly team meetings in addition to full time or more than full time work schedule, favoritism, required administrative tasks after a full work day
