Pros

Good people for the most part. Lots of team based incentives.

Cons

Too slow to promote. Don't reward successes that well. Poor bonuses. The senior management is also a joke, never visible on the floor and they do not treat poor performers well.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the team based incentives and met good people within the business. We’re sorry to hear you felt we were too slow to promote as we strive to offer rapid career progression and international opportunities to those who work hard and perform well. In fact, 150 staff members transferred internationally in the past five years. We also have a strong team-based ethos and a non-commission model is integral to this. We don’t pay individual commission, unlike the majority of our competitors, but instead focus on team based profit share. This is fundamental to our culture and success as it promotes collaborative working and ensures we always put our candidates and clients first. If you would like to discuss your concerns in more detail, please don’t hesitate to email us at hr.admin@robertwalters.com.

Pros

For fee earners (which I am not), it appears to be a very rewarding organisation and there are plenty of opportunities to develop and grow careerwise plus lots of attractive incentives (lunches, trips to Vegas, opportunities to work abroad etc). The charity day is incredible as it brings people together; everyone goes all out to raise as much money as possible for charity, whilst having fun. I can't wait for the Christmas party! A great plus is that some of my colleagues have been here longer than 5 years and love working here.

Cons

The contractual hours are longer than anywhere I have worked previously (42.5 hours a week) with no option to flex/work from home. Diversity is also lacking and I am not aware of any diversity initiatives.

Hi, and thanks for your review. I'm glad to hear you find working for us rewarding, and that you feel able to grow in your career. Your point on flexible working is a valid one, and we're continuing to look into the options because we know this is something our people ask about quite often. We do have a Diversity & Inclusion group that brings together people from across the business to ensure we are doing all that we can to enable and encourage a diverse workforce. We know we can do more to increase our diversity, and that's why we've created the space for discussion and action. If you'd like to know more about the work of the group – or be involved yourself – then do please email me at indy.lachhar@robertwalters.com). Many thanks, Indy Lachhar (Group Head of Talent Development).

Pros

No pros at all. Account managers and directors were not being helpful at all.

Cons

Political environment. No orientation was even given on first day. Basically they just hired u and throw u into the s* hole

Hi, and thanks for leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the support you needed while you were with us. As a business, we've grown a lot in recent years, and growing so fast means we haven't got everything right for all of our people all of the time. That's one of the reasons we've grown our dedicated People team in the past year, increasing and improving our Learning and Development offer for our people. We know we can do better - and we're working on it. We really do value your feedback, and we are very open to hearing ideas for how we can improve. Even though you're no longer with us, if you'd feel comfortable doing so I'd be happy to have a confidential talk with you to understand your feedback in more detail. Many thanks, Indy Lachhar (Head of People, Resource Solutions).
