Good discounts on clothing, lots of overtime opportunities, nice products, well structured with opportunities to move up in ranks, keep employees well informed on sales goals

Cons

too many employees, I saw new employees almost every other day, and yet the store seemed to always be understaffed.

high competition, expected to work after the building is vacant, management care nothing for your welfare and level of stress, no room for transferring departments, incompetent human resources team

Well, I would have to say the renewal of my discount allowance every 6-8 weeks! and that was really the only thing I really ever looked forwards to during my time there.

Cons

They expected so much, but give very little; they didn't appreciate staff and what they did. they had silly stupid rules, I know rules are there to be followed and abided by, but rules for not eating fast food in the staff room, like Mc Donald's and BK. sometimes you just need something quick and fast to eat while your on your lunch break, and at River Island, you just wasn't allowed to have it!.
