Pros
Great discount. Worked with some of the most astute retailers I’ve met. Very operationally savvy.
Cons
Running on a business model that is no longer sustainable on the payroll budget in stores. Obsession with product handling and merchandising prevents anyone from making any real impact. Every visitor to your store has a different, subjective opinion on how it should look and subsequently you spend all your time doing major floor moves to appease this. The focus is always on money and driving sales - this comes before everything, especially people. Tenure is often a curse - the people who’ve been there for years tend not to have people skills and they form a clique. Senior management are generally rude and demanding.
