Pros

The benefits are great. That's it. You have plenty of time to do personal things. If you're lazy and don't want to learn and be challenged, work here. If you're older and close to retirement, work here. If you have kids and already well-off financially, work here. If you like to watch movies all day and earn a little bit of income, work here.

Cons

-If you're young, able, and want to find a fulfilling career, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT WORK HERE. -Very low salary compared to other firms -Only 10 vacation, 5 sick, 1 personal (all have to be accrued). Oh, and you can't combine vacation with sick days even though it's YOUR time. -Entire management group is a confused unprofessional mess. They don't care about lower staff members as long as they get paid and every last penny you owe them. -They're quick to take from you and NEVER give back to you -They are extremely cheap and stingy in supplies and certain expenses (even to their own attorneys) -They also treat you like you're in high school. You have to send emails for when you arrive, go out to lunch, come back from lunch, and leaving for the day. -The bonuses and raises are a joke. You can work one night as a waiter and make more. -There is no room for growth. Don't let recruiters tell you otherwise. Being an assistant is a dead-end position. You'll have to kiss so much read-end to become a paralegal. -Assistants are a constant revolving door. Most don't stay for more than a year. This should obviously point out something about the system and it's firm. They just don't care about you. At least 3-4 people leave every month - no lie, no exaggeration. -Many hold their noses high; some rude and obnoxious (including management). -The New York office is the largest branch, but the Los Angeles office makes all the final decisions. This causes confusion and delays in getting things done. -There is definitely social hierarchy -There have been cases of racism and sexism known but swept under the rug. (*hint - check out their recent news*) -As one can see, there are more cons than pros here. Some say it's a great stepping stone. Honey, there are plenty of other stepping stones out there that can give better footing. Sorry to sound bitter, but this place really has no hope in its employees. There are only a handful of amazing people here; but with everything combined, it's just not worth the time. Oh, and their company motto is "There is no firm like ours." Yep, there sure isn't...

Pros

The Great: Casual Dress, Small Firm Feel; Friendly Faces; Great Benefits, Snacks!

Cons

The Bad: Office Manager is misogynistic and does not cultivate a safe environment. Will lie to your face to avoid conflict and does not advocate for support staff. You are constantly faced with microaggressions making you doubt your work and security. The Ugly: Managing partner refuses to talk to you about expectations and duties. Will smile to your face and then go to Office Manager to complain about you. You are expected to read his mind and live up to an imaginary standard of how he wishes things to be.

Pros

-Competitive salary -metro stipend -wfh options -looks good on resume

Cons

High turnover rate for a reason! No training processes in place. Expect employees to use their own equipment at home. I completed onboarding at this firm and immediately knew it was a toxic environment. No one talks to one another and everyone just keeps their heads down. Upper management can’t be bothered to greet new employees . Let alone to give instructions on a project they just bark orders. All decisions come from the main office in La, so dc office has no control and cannot implement changes
