      Pros

      Made some excellent connections with co-workers.

      Cons

      Basically everything about management. Very disorganized and wishy washy. Poor job at handling employee concerns. Expanding too quickly to maintain quality of workplace for current employees. I would not recommend if you're looking for a customer service job that you don't have to take home with you. Company takes themselves far too seriously in an attempt to feel significant. As a result employees behavioral patterns and personality types will be overly policed for job title and measly salary. Not much room for growth within company although they like to tell everyone otherwise.

      What happened to my Philz ?

      Pros

      Philz was always known for its culture and core values. People, Culture, Quality. Work hard and you will be rewarded for those efforts. Down to earth people in the stores and in the home office. Ability to be yourself and have a voice.

      Cons

      In the last year things have dramatically change at Philz. The Home Office is so top heavy now with people most team members have no idea what they do. We used to have a very visible CEO and HR Leader that would be in the stores and were not afraid to roll up their sleeves to help the stores and teams. Now, we never see Jacob and HR is now a non existent , paint by numbers corporate unapproachable department. Philz has now become what we all feared Starbucks 2.0

      Pros

      Working environment is entertaining, and social. Networking opportunities are always present. You meet the greatest people here. Promotions are often available. Flexible schedules.

      Cons

      Shifts can feel long and tiring. You may get tired of coffee. Honestly, that's the only con I can think of.
