Pros

free coffee remote work so you don’t have to spend time with these people

Cons

If you’re hoping for a warm, mission-driven environment that matches the public face of the brand, this isn’t it. Philz has become increasingly corporate and impersonal. The CEO, Mahesh, lacks authentic leadership presence. He avoids real connection with employees and makes top-down decisions without understanding day-to-day realities. Feedback is not welcomed unless it’s flattering. The culture feels sterile and performative, prioritizing image over people. For a company built on the idea of personal connection, it’s ironically one of the coldest places I’ve seen.
