Pros

AA flight benefits, free standby travel. Literally nothing else is positive about this work environment. Not even 20 words worth.

Cons

Contract is a JOKE 10 hours minimum rest-but 8 if necessary for the op 14 hours max duty-but 15 if necessary for the op 10am short call-but 6am if necessary for the op Off at a certain time-but extended 4 hours if necessary f Scheduled days off-but junior manned if necessary Why the hell do we even have a contract if scheduling just does whatever they want with us anyway? What’s the point of having a schedule when it can change at any time due to “operational needs”. We are paid below minimum wage for our “guarantee”, I qualify for food stamps and I’ve been here nearly a year. NO quality of life. Flight attendants complain about each other of the smallest things. If you forget to consolidate cups or napkins, prepare to be posted about on Facebook with pictures. This place is like high school.

Pros

Good travel benefits, base locations are nice

Cons

Training is a joke... very disorganized and unprofessional. Indoc: instructors used the"F-bomb" constantly and told more dirty jokes regardless of the women in the class. The taught pretty much nothing. Systems: the instructors did nothing but read off the slides. IPT: the equipment constantly malfunctioned. The instructors could not teach anything but rather expected use to somehow know the proper way to conduct the entire flight block to block. I have been through airline training previously and PSA's training was so terrible on so many levels. Most of the instructors are either old guys long since retired who have never flown the CRJ or they are (totally serious here) folks who have failed out of the training program. PSA actually is bringing in their failures to be instructors!

Pros

HR contacted me in advance to talk with me about the wage because it is so low. From what i can tell, this could be a very good place to work if they paid more. Fast growing airlines!!!

Cons

Starting was going to be between 48,000 and 50,000. WAY under what it should be. It should be a sign to PSA when your HR has to contact people in advance to warn them of low pay.
