Pros

Wonderful cause - please keep on donating!! I have loved Oxfam for many years, the former management leadership have given me fabulous career opportunities and I would not be where I am today without them.

Cons

The new senior leadership team is TOXIC. I have been working for Oxfam for about 6 years, and anyone who knows and have worked with me would agree that I am such a big fan of Oxfam, of the wonderful cause we serve everyday and I have been told several times that I am probably one of the most engaged members of staff, always motivating everyone to love Oxfam. However, I am now leaving the company. The new senior leadership team is destroying the retail part of Oxfam. Our beautiful values of empowerment, accountability and inclusiveness are long gone and the way some of the longest serving members of staff have been treated is absolutely horrendous . We now operate with fake recognition - we share workplace posts and thank you cards but some our shop managers are leaving because they can't afford staying on such a low salary and we are losing our best members of staff (shout out to the volunteer engagement team who have been lifesaving over the years!) out of pure disrespect. Their new retail transformation team is an absolute joke - people that have proved to mess up several important transitions are now promoted project leads on vital projects for the shops.
