Pros

It's a job but you will not go far there.

Cons

Poor management skills in the Presentations Department, other companies are asking why this department can't hold their employees? Working conditions are terrible, long hours, micro management and vendictive behavior. Would you work for a manager who makes you work until 11:00pm and then "asks" you to deliver the work to their home because they are too lazy to take a cab? It's ok for the management to make you work late hours but they will call you in the office at 9:05am to check if you are at work on time.

Toxic and Hostile Work Environment

Pros

None besides the the presence of my co-workers, which merely got me through working at the company.

Cons

I've never worked at a company, or more specifically for a team before that ripped and shredded me to my core. Team Cons: -Unrealistic expectations and deadlines -Emails and text messages at 10PM -No flexibility/work-life balance -Be expected to work 12 hour days because "that's just the industry" -Scolded for taking time off and fear of requesting PTO -No respect or gratitude for hard work and hours put into projects -Toxic work environment; the constant feeling that you're walking on eggshells -No clear signal on when it is acceptable to close your laptop and end the day -Pretty much being set up for failure -No satisfaction from boss; nothing is ever good enough -Constantly blamed for things that go wrong (whether minor or on a larger scale), but ohhhhh it's never my boss's fault when something goes wrong on their end -Hostile comments, made to feel incompetent, talked down to etc. -No mentorship and no support from boss -No rewards or incentives such as being able to leave early, happy hours, lunches etc. Company Cons: -Pretentious -Dry and dull environment -Forced unnatural conversations in the break-room when you're just trying to fill up your water cup -No company culture - If you don't contribute to golf or sports conversations or activities, you're considered lame (however that may just be the CRE industry in general) -Person(s) in charge of HR WILL NOT fight for you or other employees. They will try to remain as neutral as possible. NO BACK BONE.

Pros

A support staff that carries men that can't open emails. If it weren't for them, nothing would get done. They are the true champs at NKF.

Cons

Zero diversity and culture. Admins have a meeting once a year and are lucky if they get any training. Everyone looks miserable. You spend more time babysitting brokers than being productive. The new CEO of GCS is African American and sad to hear a broker say while he walked away after a meeting, "Guess it's black face time"There are so many to list. If you can get past the racism, sexism, verbal abuse...you'll get by. The CEO let a door slam in the face of a female employee who has been there 30 years. You're not moving up unless you're related to someone there. Then you have to entertain young, ignoramus, boys who spend more time in the bathroom powdering their noses than making deals. It's so bad, none of the support staff showed up at the Christmas party. Imagine the work attitude with alcohol. Stay away and go somewhere where people are actually advancing.
