      Good opportunities but you need lots of money to start off...

      Great opportunities for commission opportunities.

      Cons

      The cons to this company is that there are management that do not need nor qualify for management and just because you sell some policies during 2 years, you automatically qualify for management. This is not good for employees because they often get a goof instead of managers. This is not only in one case but through out various offices.

      Highest levels of Senior Management are extremely bright Ability to travel with job, work closely with sales offices Sales forces committed to making a difference in the lives of others

      Cons

      Don't even think about telecommuting - it's not an option - Don't even ASK! Mid-level management with poor management skills Little concern for carbon foot print - many employees (corporate) have to drive long distances to get to work location in Westchester County NY, when they could easily work from home or use public transportation to travel to NYC site HR Department that is there to "YES" management to death - not there to help employees Long work weeks - 70 - 80 hours, with little support from management

      Decent company for a new agent

      Pros

      -Great freedom to go out and find the money the way you want to find it -Friendly and competent coworkers, I've never seen a slacker or moron here, everybody is very smart -Commission structure is great, they pay the same on the front end, but pay a lot more on the back end -benefits are awesome

      Cons

      -Beurocratric mess -Entrenched management -Conservative culture -The company has a limited amount of products, greater sales could be generated with health products- HMOs/PPOs, etc
