Pros

New York Life gives you all the tools to work with in terms of doing well in the business including training and great work relationships with upper managment, but you are on your own in the end.

Cons

100 % Commision, no leads and the fear of chargebacks. Everything you make in the end in through yourself in the end and once your warm market is dry, cold caling makes things much more hard.

Pros

The training alone is worth giving this job a chance. The management and training staff prepares its employees with multiple training sessions per week and make sure that everyone is current on any changes made.

Cons

Unless you have 3-4 months savings available, it becomes really difficult to work here. No starting agent is paid until you have completed 8 cases and earned $1,500 in commissions. The staff will make this goal seem easier than it is as most people in my office did not "trigger" these goals until about their 6th month.
