Toxic work culture in spite of being awarded best place to work

Pros

Most of the ground staff are passionate and professional about their work

Cons

Management turns a blind eye to unprofessional practices which includes tolerating workplace bullying by middle management. When bullying made known to head of department, no action was carried out, bullies were not put to the task. As a result, bullying continued. Such practices promote a toxic culture. Staff formed cliques and groups, often gossiped and badmouthed each other. It was an unhealthy environment to work in.

Pros

Competitive pay Good Benefits like FCL, Well being leave AWS, Performance Bonus NTUC membership fees reimbursement

Cons

Crazy workload, it just keeps coming Bosses who like to micro manage Bosses seems to have trust issue with employees. They only start to show concern when it is near Employee Survey period Expects you to reply immediately, even if you are on leave (MC, AL, HL, ML). KPI and KPIs; process doesnt matter, they only care about results No worklife balance. Projects and projects non stop.

Pros

Possible to meet decent colleagues Kids r adorable

Cons

Working before and after working hours is a MUST Working on paperwork on weekends is a MUST Zero work life balance HQ doesn’t empathise but just adds on to workload If short on manpower some times required to work even on MC / AL AL doesn’t mean u can ignore work related emails/texts - still need to respond 24/7 Too much expectation, minimal to zero support Daily documented observation of children Weekly submission of multiple documents Termly submission of multiple documents, class set up, newsletter, events documentations Portfolios by semester is a tedious process
