Pros

Interesting challenges Good benefits if you work from Argentina (Argentinian Holidays, one month vacations, 10 personal days, work 7 hours a day) Technologies relatively new Opportunity to add value and contribute. Your code will get to production on a weekly basis and will be seen by thousands of users daily.

Cons

The amount of projects and initiatives is sometimes too much.

Pros

- Fast growing company, lots of growth opportunities both vertical and horizontal - Company acknowledges talent and is willing to take the risk and cost of ramp up if have a background that doesn't match 1:1 with the role - Awesome people, so far I've only found motivated professionals willing to help and get things done - Average base pay (considering other foreign currency paying options out there) but nice extra perks, such as EOY bonus, health insurance and vacations extras. In-company English classes or cash extra to take them with a teacher of your choice, during worktime! Also a PTO package so absurdly good I thought it was typo before clarifying it during the first interview (30 PTOs + AR Holidays + half-day the workday just before long weekends + "slow down" period towards the end of the year). All in all when considering rate in per hour worked basis, then pay it's actually in the higher end of the range. - Good, and company encouraged, life-work balance. 7hrs + 1hr lunch - Clear roadmaps - Career path that takes into consideration whether going into managerial role or tech referent, with equivalencies in payment - Company follows and enforces good development practices

Cons

- Shift is fixed 10 to 18 ART. Can't be negotiated. - Company grew too fast and it's still carrying over old systems that didn't scale well with the needs of such a fast growth. Actions to mitigate or move from these are being taken though.

Pros

Can meet cool celebrities and influencers, collaborations with cool brands

Cons

Where do I even begin? Employees do not make commission but are expected to sell as if they do. We had a bonus program at one point that was laughable. I worked at a location that made $1 million two months back to back and I knew people who received $100 as a bonus for the quarter. This was during holiday season, when our store hours were extended and we were usually working until 10pm with the rudest customers I've ever encountered. Thanks for the Bath and Bodyworks lotion though! The bonus program was eventually revised and now it's dependent on how much we meet our monthly goals, which are impossible to attain. They send a limited amount of stock to retail stores, which makes it even more impossible to meet these goals. It's almost as if they're doing it on purpose so they don't have to pay us decently. And don't expect Mejuri to have your back with these customers either! I've been screamed at and called disgusting names over $68 jewelry, and what was corporate's response? Call them and give them a $50 credit for *their* trouble, even though we were the ones upholding company policy. Eventually, we were told to just do whatever the customer wanted so we wouldn't get any bad reviews. An influencer made a TikTok complaining about Mejuri and corporate invited her in to gift her nearly $2,000 in free products - more than I made in two weeks. God forbid they get a bad review. Back to compensation - I was given a glowing performance review coupled with a 75-cent raise. I raised my concerns to HR during my exit interview as this was a major reason I left and was told depending on performance, raises are given at 4%-6%. Even 4% of my salary would have been a dollar. It was insulting, to say the least, especially after being at the company for a year and a half. Mejuri touts growth and upward mobility within the company and regularly reminds the team that they aim to hire 30% internally per year. Then why were perfectly qualified people passed over for every single promotion I've seen made available, to hire external people who legitimately have no clue what they're doing? Stores are dangerously short-staffed. One day I was left in the store completely alone (even though I'm not even allowed to enter the premises by myself to open) taking care of 20+ customers by myself and when flagged to higher ups was told to deal with it. They said I couldn't disrupt the flow of business by closing the store early or for an hour so I could take a lunch break - arguably, a single person in charge of an entire jewelry store is pretty disruptive to business in itself. But the final straw for me was when Mejuri stopped paying their security company and we were left unprotected for about a week. My store had thefts upwards of $15,000 on three separate occasions. We of course had to report this to the police and even when the store was full of 10+ police officers trying to fingerprint and get information from us, we were told we could not close the store. Again, closing would be disruptive to business, not the fact that there was law enforcement swarming the place. There's honestly so much more I could say - even what I wrote in the Pros section came with Cons. Don't waste your time here.
