Pros

Ability to WFH I've met some amazing people

Cons

Red flags from day one... but sadly ignored them. was Gaslit constantly and treated based on closeness of relationships. Little to no growth opportunities especially if coming from customer service. There is a false sense of family or community culture when it's the complete opposite. Lack of true leadership. When faced with having to handle things in unbiased, diplomatic ways, constantly fell short and reverted into high school cliques. Besides the ridiculous politics and drama, it was exhausting having to constantly appease customers for things that the company was at fault for. Constant feelings lf guilt not being able to assist customers fairly based on contradictory and confusing policies. Constantly fielding racist comments on social media every time a Black model was used in ads. As a Black woman it was exhausting and it was never considered. Stuck it out as long as possible for the hope of moving up and on into a new role. Lastly, the pay is terrible. It's not even close to the living wage needed to survive in any of the cities each store is operated in. To survive supplementation with another job is needed. Pointing out issues noticed, gets a label of not being "solution driven". Labeled as unprofessional if defending oneself. Great place to go if you really need a job and a first step into the corporate world. There were some amazing people I got to know but they've either quit or have been laid off. From missing or short paychecks (multiple times, once right before rent was due) to biased management, overall disorganization, lack of inter-department communication. It was a stressful and toxic environment.

Pros

Great people to work with Good on resume If you’re lucky, you can grow with the company but only if you’re lucky

Cons

They are quick to fire/lay off large groups of employees at any moment with no warning or indication bc of bad business decisions. If you want to work here, UPDATE YOUR RESUME FREQUENTLY. I have seen so so many people have their lives turned upside down by being laid off or fired with no reason or explanation. Always a feeling of disorganization and confusion on why certain decisions are made. Money is prioritized over everything to a fault. This goes for the quality of jewelry, how employees are treated, being paid a living wage, etc. they’re always trying to cut corners for short term gain. Upper management can be disconnected, cold, and not match the “values” the company says they represent to lure customers in. Shady practices and lack of transparency in terms of quality, production and sourcing. Gaslighting is common if you try to speak up and it is the quickest way to stop you from new opportunities. Empty promises upon empty promises; which has been mentioned countless times before in other reviews.

Toxic Culture, Terrible Management

Pros

- team is friendly and warm (excludes everyone director and above) - fast growth, learn a lot on your own - from here, you will be able to tackle many challenges in future roles autonomously

Cons

- management in the finance department is extremely condescending and toxic - they will detrimentally impact your mental health by belittling you, emphasizing your mistakes publicly, and shift all blame to you rather than taking a look at themselves. There is no praise or recognition on your successes and things you’ve done well. - promotions and recognition is based on how well you can play into their game of shifting blame and brown-nosing management. Anything you do to challenge or push-back will put you on their target list. The scary thing is they will seem to encourage contrasting opinions and challenges to status quo on face value, but doing so will bite you in the long run. - probably the only function within the company that is completely opposite of the values the company claims to stand for - turnover is high and those who remain feed into the culture of snakes - vicious cycle - don’t join u less you’re ready to wake up with a pit in your stomach everyday. If you didn’t have mental health issues coming in, you are more than likely to develop issues during your time here. Be prepared for personal attacks and scary behaviour that seem borderline psychopathic and narcissistic. - undercompensated compared to market and management will gaslight u into believing u should be “grateful for the opportunity to work here rather than asking to be fairly compensated” - they have also grown to believe their own lies, posting job postings that require many years of stellar experience in investment banking and private equity without the compensation, reputation, and benefits to back it up. I’m not sure what they’re smoking into thinking someone that stellar would choose this company but it’s delusional. Many job postings are usually up on LinkedIn for months on end and eventually given up on and taken down.
