Pros

Some people are nice and have team spirit fortunately. But they are too little and encounter then the same frustrations as I have. Good cantine.

Cons

The company could be great, as they offer a great product and aims to become truly international, but they are still a far cry from that. There is too much disorganization, too much micro management, too little trust in employees to create a favorable and positive work environment. Some managers can yell very hard and be rude. But the worst part is, that Italian employees are more privileged and protected then others, especially those coming from the craddle of the company near Naples. Employees with the "right connections" can afford to have a behaviour that would not be acceptable from other employees. They act as tyrans and occasionate a lot of "intrigues". This is really not a healty climate to work in. Promotions are NOT based on your skills but on how well you manage to be in "the good grace" of those who have influence and power. The so-said "family spirit" benefits only certain employees, the other and, moreover non italians, are just a number.

Pros

Very good salary for shop assistants compared to other cruise lines. You can see different countries and meet people from other countries. The company pays your flight ticket.

Cons

- Crazy long working hours - Food is impossible to eat, old meat, you want to vomit even looking at it, no selection, just horrible meet, dangerously looking fish and rice with not even salt in it, and everything is full of oil. I gained 10 kilos in 6 months. Some people say it depends on the ship you're on. - Management, officers and basically almost everyone treats you like crap. Absolutely zero respect to employees. - On my ship they allowed to buy only two drinks a day in the crew bar. No social life for crew, crew bar looks like a prison yard. Housekeeping you don't even see in the crew bar because they are so exhausted they just sleep and work. - No cabin steward for staff (only for officers), regular surprise cabin inspections, checking if your cabin is clean and you have no time to clean it. - All the medical problems are treated with antibiotics. If you take more than two days of medical off they threaten you to fire you. - If you get fired, the money for your ticket is deducted from your salary. - very low crew morale, everyone complains all the time.
