Don't expect raises, bonuses, recognition for your work, vacation time or much of anything else after you walk in the door.
Terrible when your CEO tells everyone that they should expect to never get a merit increase, cost of living increase or performance based increase in their salary because that is not the world we live in.
Depending on which organization you are under you can expect that your will either be a disposable commodity and worked to death, or just that you will never move up in pay beyond where you are.
There is extremely limited positions that offer the ability of a promotion with a pay increase, and even then it will be highly unlikely that you will receive one.
We used to actually accrue vacation time and got to use it, but literally announced in an all hand call, they complained about actually having to pay people their earned vacation time when they got laid off or left the company, that now it will be manager's discretion for vacation time and they will save nearly 8M a year in not having to pay out earn vacation time.
Once Level 3 took over, they made a decision to eliminate all former Centurylink management and only kept Level 3 people, which has been extremely detrimental to the operations of the company from lack of knowledge remaining.
If you are paid well, you can expect to be on the chopping block each round of layoffs that come through, as they would rather have cheap employees without experience, then retaining people with decades of knowledge.
Of note, per organization there can be only 1 person per organization that will ever get an Exceed Expectations and a raise, everyone else will get a Meets Expectations or Does Not Meet Expectations. They literally have turned it into a battle of the employees to vie for a raise and even then you can not expect anymore than 1-2% increase at best.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you do seek a position here, come in with the understanding that whatever salary you get hired on at, is likely as much as you will ever see here.
