Pros

Great employees and good work/life balance however I have concerns that this will change for the worse under the current new leadership which comes from Level 3 culture which did not focus on work/life balance.

Cons

Executive leadership lacks clear vision for the company. Ever since the acquisition of Level 3 in November 2017, there has been a constant change in leadership and numerous lay offs. The environment is one of uncertainty and fear, not a healthy environment for innovation and growth.

Pros

401k matching, one of the better employers in the Monroe, LA area, comprehensive benefits package

Cons

Benefits keep getting worse while the price goes up, Paid time off only rolls over 40 hours per year so more dedicated employees who are unable to take time off lose it (PTO cannot be "cashed in" if you don't use it), too many acquisitions that disrupt the working environment and put job status in flux. Executives take millions in bonuses then tell employees that there is not enough money for their measly 2-5% yearly standard of living/performance bonus. Feels less like a family since the Level 3 acquisition, and there have been massive layoffs for the last few years. If you have a high-paying position or have been with the company for many years you are likely to be let go for someone with less experience who will be paid less than you.

Pros

You would be working with some of the old school ML, TL and chances are they have little exposure to working with any other company. You would have all the time to run a second business and if you happen to be the native of same place as you manager you won a lottery. If you ever forget to say yes sir, you rating would go down in next appraisal. But if you are good at saying yes sir, you are a champ.

Cons

Only if you care about your career else no con. If you have worked with a service provider before chances are you would be smarter then your TL who must have spent his life in this same company. There is no concept of architect, TL, managers would advise you not do do anything that doesn't suit their taste. No new tech or process.
