Pros

Good luck finding a pro, there are none

Cons

If you have a complaint, it will be ignored. Taking time out for your mental health is a no no, they think thats a complete joke, even senior directors will chime in calling staff in branches names. The Manager can't be bothered with applicants that doesn't speak good English. Racial slurs are a given with this company, they don't care who they offend. Manager has openly admitted he only hires women, its a control thing but also he loves a bit of eye candy. Swearing at staff, about tenants and landlords is a daily issue. The senior team will bully landlords into doing what they want (putting a property on the market when it isn't ready, spending money on decorating or new boilers just to hit the contractor income target) The senior team will accuse you of just about anything. Stealing is the most recent one but the senior negotiatior will "forget" things and blame in on other staff members. She has no training to be a negotiatior but they made her a senior anyway (was previously a property manager but couldnt even do that either) The list goes on... They don't follow procedures and have sacked staff on the spot for no reason, without any prior meetings, even over the phone without notice. Best bit of advice, avoid this company at all costs.

Thank you for your review. Racism, bullying and name calling are not tolerated within the company and we would encourage you to raise any concerns with the HR department at HRdepartment@lrg.co.uk if you feel unable to raise these with your managers, so that we can investigate this further. All grievances and complaints submitted are taken seriously and are investigated fully by the HR team. We take the mental wellbeing of our staff incredibly seriously and provide support through our EAP line and our team of mental health first aiders whose details have regularly been communicated out, particularly over lockdown. Thank you for the feedback and we wish you the best for the future. Lizzie - HR Department

Disappointing Leadership – A Toxic Environment Driven by Poor Management

Pros

Some great colleagues who genuinely care about their work. Decent benefits, though they don’t make up for the environment.

Cons

Senior management lacks transparency and communication, making it difficult for teams to stay aligned and motivated. There’s a noticeable culture of favouritism, which creates tension and demoralises staff. Management is reactive rather than proactive, addressing problems only after they become major issues. Feedback is either ignored or met with defensiveness—there’s no real effort to improve. High turnover due to dissatisfaction, yet leadership doesn’t acknowledge or address the root causes. Bullying tactics are used by senior management, which is demoralising and leads to a toxic working environment where staff feel undervalued and intimidated
