Too many rules & micro management

Pros

- great co-workers - you can learn a lot really fast - good office, fruits & coffee - HF discounts on boxes

Cons

- too much micro management - it is mandatory to go to work, remote work is not appreciated in the 21st century when all other companies want to implement remote work, HF does the least, they should measure the work done and how sincere an employee is as remote work is very productive for a lot of people. They can trust their employees. Generally companies that trust their employees have more loyal employees. It should seriously not be forced, may be more flexibility was better and a lot of people I know would have stayed longer at HF if there was not so much fuss about remote work policies - reaching office early was highly expected, flexible working hours don't exist at HF - early meetings 9 am or meetings during lunch hours 1 pm were a regular thing I mean they can be more considerate and keep meetings between 10 to 5 which are supposed to be the core working hours, a lot of people have german classes or sports classes in the morning, everything gets compromised, the work life balance gets compromised

Pros

Great discount on the product. Office snacks and drinks are great. Some very nice people. I learned a lot during my time there in a very short period of time, but it was a very stressful process.

Cons

Extremely high turnover, in my two years there I had 8 directors come and go. It is not out of the ordinary to be expected to do work while on vacation. The entire CRM team either was fired or quit within a 2 month period. It's a very stressful place to be.

Pros

There are some genuinely nice people here but that is the only real positive. Even they are slowly leaving because the culture has become too toxic to stay in.

Cons

Highly political culture with no real promotions. Leadership is insecure, ego driven, and more focused on protecting themselves than supporting employees. Micromanagement is constant, communication is poor, and priorities shift without explanation. Quiet layoffs happen with no transparency and usually protect the same small group. The new US marketing lead has made the culture even worse. He was difficult to work with before and has only become more problematic in a higher role. There is constant questioning, no clear vision, and nonstop steering that sends teams in circles. It is hard to understand how he keeps moving up the ladder despite repeated negative scores and consistent employee feedback. Independent analysis, including the Grizzly Research report, highlights similar issues such as unstable leadership, lack of direction, and a business that feels like it is declining. What the report describes matches what employees experience inside the company. Even if the CEO or HR choose to ignore these problems, they remain the reality employees deal with every day.
