Pros

There were some great agents I was able to work with. Slack allowed me to document my concerns so that I could show management the discrepancies.

Cons

I was lied to by recruiter and manager before being hired on. Agents are not paid for the first 35 sales each month in AEP. Training was minimal and ineffective. Management flip flop regularly and are not effective with communication so it's like the blind leading the blind. They tried to grow too quickly and have problems with new agents not doing things right. Leads are called repeatedly, sometimes several times a day and transferred to multiple agents. Found out early October schedule would be 12.5 hours a day m-f and every weekend day till December 8.

Sorry you didn't have a good experience. I hope you provided feedback and didn't just write this review because the job didn't work out for you. The recruiters and managers state the facts. Sales are about contests, stock and money... you definitely shouldn't have accepted a sales position if you thought otherwise.

Pros

Good team work atmosphere, great guidance from Managers, great communications up and down the pipeline, great benefits, appears to be a great company

Cons

I was hired here after background checks were supposedly done. I was let go after 3 months because my credit score did not meet their standards. I signed on with them leaving a perfectly fine job where I was doing ok and selling quite well. I signed on with them because they promised ethical treatment of customers and also because they told me that I would make upwards of 100,000 dollars if I applied myself during the Annual Enrollment Period, and I'm confident I would have exceeded that goal, because I take care of my customers and care about them. As it turned out, they also make outbound calls under a scam. They are just another phone scam company. They promise you a lot, and offer great benefits, but be very careful. They should have never hired me in the first place if I didn't meet their credit checks. Now they terminated me, and because of that, I may not be eligible for unemployment benefits after working for them for only 3 months. Not good hiring practices at all.

While we appreciate the feedback, just wanted to clarify that we don't check credit score and we do run background checks prior to employment for all hires.

Pros

- They'll pay you. Real money! - Health Insurance!

Cons

- Abysmal Leads. As many other reviews have noted, this company outsources its lead-generation to several foreign companies that are most likely motivated to rely on quantity of transfers, not quality. 20% of the calls you will face daily are what I would note as 'scary'. (Leads that you're either being asked or being guided to take advantage of who can't defend themselves from such practices and shouldn't be mass-marketed to in this manner). - Poor, ineffective management. Look forward to poor guidance from your direct manager, who, as another reviewer noted, is often eager to dish out some verbal punishment. Even higher-ups portray themselves as bloated and arrogant -- Organizing a company meeting of 300+ people, and answering pre-written questions, where both the answers and the questions themselves only ask and explain positive things about the upper management's efforts, in the most narcissistic show of self-congratulating business-themed comedy that anyone's ever seen. And, when someone -does- ask a hard question, leave it to A. Miller to weasle out of it with ease. - Ridiculous quotas, and an overreliance on metrics. Expect to be fired over conversion rates and obscure attendance policies. Anytime you have a question, expect to be directed to the 300 page Employee Handbook, but don't expect to be told the page number for the oscure half-sentence you're looking for that applies to your situation. - Awful culture. The managers are tireless about criticizing even the top-tier workers, usually because their immediate bosses are doing the same thing. Everyone is on edge and has no security, everyone feels unsteady, and nobody is truly happy at this job. As they expand, this has only gotten worse and worse.
