Pros

I wish there was one. Just one good thing about this god forsaken company but there is not.

Cons

Unethical. Uncaring. Unappreciative. Have a way of making it look like you could earn a lot of commissions but it somehow works out to be much lower than anyone could have imagined. Every minute is micro managed. 12 to 17 hour days, 6 to 7 days a week. Training is non existent and clients get worked over into bad situations. I’ve only been here a few months but it has been by far the worst company I’ve ever experienced.

Pros

Cheap health insurance and pretty decent benefits.

Cons

Left my precious job for this company and it’s been a nightmare since I started. 6 weeks of training where we did nothing but meet for an hour a day. As a broker the money is made on the floor and selling. Then the comp plan for AEP is atrocious. They take the first 35 sales in November and December but say it will be worth it because they are trying to give away a Tesla. Contracting with carriers is a nightmare with the most incompetent team I have ever had a pleasure to work with. They will only contract you with 1-2 carriers and if you can’t sell a plan you have to transfer it to someone who can, essentially giving your sale away. There are no hot leads , leads are called 3 times a day and basically harassed by the “ healthiq” transfer agents . Several people in my training class have had to consult labor law attorneys because they hold you to $1500 for contracting and licensing fees if you leave in the first year and a bunch of us are tired of the lack of integrity and honesty with this company’s policies and management. We were told in training they would not hold the first 35 enrollments in AEP and the comp plan will change. Turns out it was all lies to keep us all on the hook with this company. The comp plan is not changing and now with the unilateral nature of the hiring contract, we ( and our insurance licenses) are essentially enslaved by this company for a year til the $1500 in contracting fees is paid back. Other Medicare brokerages that do exactly what healthiq do don’t do this . RUN don’t walk from the recruiters. They are expert salespeople and will sell you a load of bs and then when the dust settles and you are in training you will find out you have been sold a load of bs and now are trapped. Run don’t walk from this company.

Pros

Competitive pay, and sprinkles of genuinely smart/driven people

Cons

Go read the review from July 27, 2019... “A culture destined to fail.” The company sets absolutely ridiculous targets, executives don’t know what they are doing, extremely toxic and male driven work environment (it’s normal to get cursed at by execs, and your manager), people are very often having mental breakdowns. STAY AWAY, it’s not worth it.

We appreciate your feedback. There are those that can rise to the occasion, and those, perhaps at no fault of their own, are not suited to a fast-paced sales culture. We do our best to identify the appropriate characteristics that will thrive in the health IQ start-up environment where meritocracy is a core value. While growth is important, we are still the fastest growing online insurance company in the industry, but our goal continues to be the best.
