Pros

The people and relationships I've garnered just from being there. The sales training was simplified, yet thorough and worked for the majority of people. It honestly added a nice touch to my sales style. Workouts and lunches are free*

Cons

I was reluctant writing this review. The cons started immediately, and necessarily didn't have all to do with the actual work. I walked in on my first day to the comp plan being changed. Red Flag #1. The amenities they pitched that I relied on to help with my anxiousness with the long hours and stress, were being taken away. When I asked about it, I was told "I mean do you want us to be successful or do you want massages?" The other Red Flags came from the toxic personalities from those in leadership. I was gas-lighted a few times when showing concern for gray areas and questionable issues overall. I am a strong individual who is in tune with their emotions, but this blatant, disrespectful behavior is something that even made me question myself as a person in the beginning. This was my first startup experience, I did not know what to expect. The idea it seems was for them to hire robots who didn't care about the human aspect for a job. Everything except for the dress code was uniform. I've noticed some individuals maintaining their health due to their pre-existing lifestyle, but you also knew who was getting the pressure from up top because their overall health/habits were deemed unhealthy. You could see it happening and it was sad. There is a workout class at 12 pm, but you can't make it because you have to come in at 8 for time coverage later on, and your lunch is at 1pm, so that would be way too much time away from the phones, also you're not on track goal for the month so keep selling anyway. Now there is a sales blitz at 1pm but you have lunch. Do you want to eat or show us you care and help our projections with selling on this blitz? Shame on you, you ate your lunch. You are begged to sign off on long hours to keep up with the work. More hours equals more money, you should be happy right? NOT EVERYONE CAN BE PERSUADED WITH MONEY OR POTENTIAL PROMISES. And in 2020 it will be a lot more difficult to find people that want to be treated like a computer. Especially with how things are working in society. I can go on and on, but I'll say it here: If you think that people are not here to be people, then you are in the wrong business. If your major rebuttal on anyone having a concern, is mocking them.. "Oh just another agent that has little feelers and wants to be treated like human, blah blah blah"... You've gotta be kidding me. This isn't how success looks. "You can leave if you want" Was another one, so I did. Then my blood pressure dropped to a normal range.

Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate you taking a chance on Health IQ as a start-up. As you know, start-ups require the ability to deal with change, readjust expectations, and an all-hands on deck level of collaboration to be a success, and as such isn't the right environment for every person. As Health IQ matures, we are continuously improving our screening efforts to ensure a better experience for all our new employees. Our mission is clear and you (fortunately or unfortunately) joined at a time of tremendous growth, and when San Diego was our only office. Much of the exercise equipment was moved to make way for more desks. Senior leadership was as disheartened as you, and we have heard the feedback from our employees. As such, we are actively seeking new office space suitable for a comfortable work experience as well enough space to exercise safely and comforatbly.

Pros

The only pro is that the job is remote. There were more pros but they've pretty much removed them all. Medicare is an industry where you can make a lot of money if you have the right tools, mind set and brokerage so look elsewhere.

Cons

Recruiters lie to get you in, then the onboarding team is not competent and will give you several different answers to the same question. Commission structure, employee handbook and other important documents aren't provided so you have to seek them out yourself. They often don't pay commissions or pay way less than what's actually earned. Calls are capped even if you've gotten crap calls all day. They say these are inbound calls but really they use SDRs from overseas to cold call people and harass them about COVID shots before you even get on the line with the potential client. Many of their leads will hang up on you, curse you out or not even be qualified. But those calls still get counted toward your overall closing ratio. Policy changes every week it seems and upper management doesn't seem to know what they want to do. We are all guinea pigs to them. Benefits cost half your check and really aren't that great. Oh and if you're 1 min late getting on the phones they will add points against you, no matter how good of an agent you are, if you have voicemails to listen to from the night before etc. you better be on the phone at your starting minute.

Sorry as if you felt you didn't get what you needed. We do pay all earned commissions if you met the requirements, the recruiters don't lie and the onboarding team does a great job hiring 30-50 new agents a week. Policies don't change every week. We have several updates as we continue to grow and evolve. Our commission structure has recently changed and is better than ever.

Pros

None that would make it worth working here.

Cons

The quality of the leads are the worst in the industry. Therefore, you will not be able to make anywhere close to the income that was promised. Not to mention the ever changing compensation plan that basically takes money out of the salespersons pocket to pay for the leads.

I'm sorry you feel that way. We've made so many improvements that make us a better option than our competitors.
