Pros

- Nothing, therefore ill take this space to do negatives: - Hired 300 people for opening : very small mall, 2 levels - Opening: labour that was unjust and unwarranted : assembly lines for 3 hours : passing down 30 pound boxes - Managers were beyond rude and informal : it was simply a "i'm paying you so shut up and do it" - One employee actually cried due to the pressure and work - Hired minors - Very unorganized (Continued on cons..)

Cons

- Unorganized, how? it tooyk us an hour to clock-in, systems never worked : fingerprint = useless - Sales Associates put in hours of hard labour ; what did managers do? Watch and talk? = no help whats so ever - After store opening: - There was more people working in the store than actual customers - Still took an 1-11/2 to clock-in and get our meeting for the day - Managers finally figured out that 300 people WAS TO MUCH! - therefore they started cutting down - I had one shift = 5hrs - 3 people working; store was busy and we couldnt handle the crowd ; naturally i complained about the understaffing; where the manager said: "welcome to the real world", REALLY? - No compassion - Gradually I got no shifts and I quit over the phone

Pros

Without much SOP, you are unintentionally given room to get things done creatively thus possibly improving your problem solving skill. Company provided lunch is an added benefit. Company has been experiencing tremendous growth and is becoming one of the largest and most competitive fast fashion retail brands in the world, hence a great resume booster and possible opportunities for advancement. Employees often develop camaraderie because how harsh the work environment is.

Cons

Very low pay across the board with the bare minimum for employee benefits. As big as it has grown, it remains to be and to run like a small family owned business; very little transparency in management decisions, lots of politics, and prevalent micromanagement. Poor company culture and organization; disconnects between departments and even within department are common; departments behave more like competitors against one other rather than those on the same team. Daily overtime is almost mandatory. And if you want to go beyond middle management, understanding and speaking Korean is more than just a plus.

Pros

The people they hire are very nice. Not a lot of egos other than from the owners. It's a great place to start a career in fashion because you wouldn't know any better. Being treated like you are mindless will seem natural to a very junior person.

Cons

It feels like you are working at the Pentagon there is so much security. Only the security is more suspicious of it's own employees than anyone else. Must wear your badge at all times or else accosted by security. Clocking in and out is a nightmare with a cumbersome manual time correction process if there are any errors, which happen weekly. No training. No growth opportunities for people ready to transition from Senior positions to upper management. They would rather hire from outside. Promotions aren't merit-based, but rather based on friendships and politics. The company consistently pays 25% below market salaries for the same position at other companies. The company claims they have a commitment to their 'low price,' but once you are a global multi-billion dollar company as they have become, I think it would be safe to offer your corporate employees a fair salary. A lot of non-english-speaking employees with no resources to help them grow or acclimate - creates a lot of separation and isolation in the office atmosphere. Many underpaid Korean interns brought from abroad to do low level work with no training, guidance, or opportunities for future. Forced to eat on-campus. No visitors allowed. Office is located in an unsafe part of town. Parking is a nightmare. Most employees have to take 10 min to find a parking space (being constantly redirected by security guards to different lots) and 2 shuttles to arrive at the entrance of the office building. I knew a valuable employee at this company that had been with the company for 8 years, help build a department and only received a $6 raise over that time and 1 insignificant title change.
