Pros

I can’t think of a single thing, other than than the cafe in the office. That’s it.

Cons

Well, it was awful enough that i lasted one day.. 1. WORST COMPENSATION IN THE INDUSTRY: As an Associate Buyer I currently make $60k salary. At F21 the pay was about $18 an hour, and they *require* you to work 9.5 hour days. 2. ZERO COMMUNICATION: It’s a Korean family run company, so all leadership is Korean. No big deal, right? Wrong - they only speak to eachother in Korean, leaving non Korean speakers clueless. How am i supposed to learn if my boss and her boss and his boss can’t communicate with me? 3. THE HIRING HAUX I was recruited by a “friend” who fed me the lies about what a great company it is, etc. When i interviewed i spoke to a lovely English-speaking woman, who told me about the company. When i got there for my first day, i realize this woman i interviewed with is nowhere on the line of all-Korean speaking leadership. I’m not sure who she even was. 4. OFFICE = SMOKE & MIRRORS The waiting area is super fun and trendy, music is playing, it’s great. When you’re hired and on the other side, everything changes. The offices are dirty and disorganized. It felt like what i imagine working in one of their retail stores feels like. In fact, my desk seemed totally unprepared for me. There was trash in the trash can, old post-it notes at the desk, an old collection of odds-and-ends pens and pencils. It looked like i was just stepping into someone’s temporary make-shift desk. I wasn’t expecting much but that’s the first time I’ve ever shown up to a new job and things were that unwelcoming.

Pros

There are no pros about working here, but if I had to pick one, the Starbucks onsite. The Starbucks employees were the only nice humans working in that building.

Cons

If you want to work at a place with incompetent and immature people then this is the right company for you. 1.) It was amazing to me how many incompetent people work at this company. I really thought it was only the Marketing department, but when I started talking to other departments, it clearly was everyone at the company. 2.) Told by upper management that "it's normal at this company to go to your car at the end of the night and cry". 3.) Everyone is so incompetent, management does not understand how to use outlook email or even powerpoint. They call "smart art" "bubbly thingys". 4.) Everyone is so focused on how they look, how they are dressed that it interferes with everyday work. 5.) Approval progress is insane. The owners must approve everything, even what pens the admin. assistant orders. 6.) You are constantly being watched. 7.) Zero room for advancement. 8.) Parking is about a 10-15 min walk and the garage is scary. The parking garage is scary because of the neighborhood this company is in, as a female walking alone you have no idea what could be lurking around the corner. 9.) If the owners see you in the hall they WILL ask you if you're wearing Forever 21 clothes, if you're not you will be ridiculed. 10.) The bathrooms are so filthy and disgusting. I have seen feces and other bodily fluids on the floor of each bathroom. 11.) There are zero perks for working for this company. The discount is terrible, the cafeteria is disgusting. The only reason why the cafeteria exists is because the surrounding areas are not walking friendly AND this is a way to micromanage everyone to keep them INSIDE the building at all times. 12.) Processes change everyday and people quit so frequently that you have no idea who to email or what is gong on. 13.) Favoritism is HUGE at this company. It's never consistent but I have seen discrimination based on race and how you are dressed. 14.) No sick time and very little PTO. 15.) Health Insurance is terrible.
