Don’t Bother, Unless

Pros

Decent salary and bonus plan. Benefits are on par with others in DFW. Good place to start, but not long term (see Cons).

Cons

Most in Management are more concerned about their roles due to the impending merger with Luxottica later this year. Often Senior Executives are inconsistent in their priorities and subsequent guidance. Some have gone “tribal”, and are not in sync with other areas of responsibility’s initiatives, causing a waste of time and resources. This causes confusion, uncertainty and doubt in the related Line organizations. HR is pushing for younger and more diverse hires and promotions, often without regard to actual talent. Unfortunately, most senior level promotions are based on “who you know”, rather than on what you know.

Pros

People that weren't in management are great.

Cons

- Executive team vision and strategy only based on the good old boy/girl network - Appearance of diversity of executive ranks, just that - Only older employees laid off. Not sure how they got away with this one. Excuse was that position are being eliminated, not performance. How is it that only older employees positions were eliminated? - Most expanded positions going to white males. Or younger white females.

Pros

6% dollar for dollar no vesting period 401k. Some nice coworkers. I don't have space in the cons so I'll put more cons here. The company is in an awkward location. No sick days, you are supposed to be a robot and work to death. Bless your heart if your have a horrible manager in addition to this. No eyeglasses for dependents.

Cons

Where do I start? Health insurance is going through the roof, my biggest is the work environment with humongous elitism especially the BA senior management. You better be a manager or you are just a financial Analyst and shut up. BAs (financial analyst) are overworked and underpaid, oh and forget Glassdoor's salary estimate am paid 20% below glassdoor minimum. Everything is your fault, back stabbing. Forget room to grow, just forget it. No training, get hired and start running . And they expect all this to be compensated by day 3 pizza. If they only know how many of their BAs are actively job hunting.
