Pros

401K - 100% match up to 6% was generous

Cons

- Either unaware or unable to foster a collaborative environment - Paranoid culture where people are quick to blame and slow to correct - Knowledge sharing or transfer becomes a quick challenge - Penny wise and Pound foolish philosophy: Laptops and Systems too slow to execute effectively. - Too many people with professional jobs quitting without notice due to overworked and stressful conditions

Cons

- Management is aloof - Department culture is very cynical - Toxic personalities/management styles are tolerated and often promoted - Training and coaching is minimal - Leaders take a "sink or swim" approach to managing their employees - VERY meeting heavy organization - There are often too many cooks in the kitchen on projects - Ambiguity abounds - Inflexible work hours

Pros

Direct team members are great, lots of fun and comradery with each other, sometimes there is food,

Cons

Very toxic behavior by upper management There is an expectation that you should be working all the time and not have a life outside of Essilor "Oh you're sick? Sorry, this is still needed by tomorrow" No respect, consideration, or appreciation for your time Never thank you, always do more They will try to get away underpaying you compared to the market
