Pros

Variety of work, opportunity to move around and sometimes up, good peers, decent pay, and depending on the role, decent hours

Cons

Leadership seems to care less about keeping people, they have become more of a churn through people environment, leadership is very disconnected and siloed from the employees, virtually unknown outside of Dallas and ophthalmic

Pros

401K match Some Amazing people There is Diversity (no inclusion) Some fun events

Cons

Everyone man for themselves mindset at the expense of others. The same people that smile in your face speak in poor taste behind closed doors. I’ve sat in the rooms and listened to politics and sexist commentary. You receive stale projects that never deploy with no direction or processes. The only way you can be deemed as successful is to adhere to a kiss behind culture with senior management... it’s constantly “let’s have lunch tomorrow” ... if you don’t regularly meet with senior leaders or people that senior managers like for outings and extracurricular events to gossip then you are excluded and you get the pretend half smile in the hallways because someone in a senior position that can’t lead or do their job has had lunch with someone to talk about you. Once again, there are no concrete processes... some people in leadership fake pretend they are intelligent but they are mentally challenged... sexist... and homophobic individuals. When you recommend developing something that it’s outdated they say “Oh wow that’s great” but they don’t care about your input if they didn’t recommend it themselves. You have meetings nonstop about nothing and since nothing is done in the meetings you are expected to do busy work or admin tasks like “order lunch and expense it for a team/departmental meeting”... then when you expense things YOU have to pay for it with YOUR own money. They give you a corporate card to use but YOU have the pay the bill then submit a report and they will reimburse you whenever the pay cycle is convenient for them. You have to make sure your check is correct because sometimes they forget to pay you. The culture is diverse but still is ran by Frenchmen. They are in the process of merging so you can apply today and be gone 5 months later (I’ve seen it), there are more layoffs to come. FYI I enjoyed my time there and met some amazing people but I’m just telling you my experience there was a doo doo feast.

Pros

Everyone is willing to help. The culture is very relaxed. Leave when you want , and come in when you want love it .

Cons

Too much work is placed on HR, departments in HR are not aligned with each other . Something has to change ! Too much stress. Mentioned earlier the culture is relaxed, although that is seen as a good thing it is not in HR . A lot of favoritism. Good talent is leaving, because of the culture and stress.
